If you feel like venturing beyond Poipu, Kiahuna is a place from which to explore the beautiful island of Kauai. After a short drive, you can hike the trails of Waimea Canyon overlooking steep, craggy cliffs or explore deep within the lush tropical rainforest.

More adventure awaits as you head out to kayak through the clear, life-filled rivers and streams. Paddle through a maze of forests, gliding gracefully alongside of waving palms that are the homes of the most beautiful tropical egrets, wetland i’iwis, and golden plovers. For another exploration, paddle up the meandering Wailua River to the majestic Wailua Falls, tumbling from 80 feet on high.

To the north, lies the vast Na Pali Coastline unreachable except by trail or by boat. There are many boat tours that wend their way along the coast to witness nature’s display looking landward from of the ocean and to experience the numerous dolphins and whales (in season) along the way.
